Your Role


Reporting directly to the CTO, you will play a key role in developing the firmware and back-end systems that power our innovative products. This is a hands-on engineering role with the opportunity to influence the design and implementation of mission-critical technology.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and optimize firmware for our neurotech devices, ensuring seamless performance and reliability.
  • Build and maintain robust back-end services to support device monitoring, data processing, and system interactions.
  • Design systems for monitoring device health and managing interactions between cloud-based services and embedded devices.
  • Conduct code reviews, design reviews, and risk analyses.
  • Develop test plans and prepare comprehensive test reports.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO13485 standards and adhere to best practices in the medical device industry.
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team of engineers, designers, and researchers to deliver impactful solutions.

What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
  • Strong proficiency in C++, preferably in an embedded systems context.
  • Hands-on experience with embedded systems and firmware development.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field — or equivalent professional experience.
Desirable Experience
  • Experience with Rust is highly desirable. Alternatively, an eagerness to learn Rust is essential.
  • Strong understanding of modern C++ practices and norms.
  • Experience working in real-time systems with an RTOS. Particularly nRF Connect SDK and Zephyr is a bonus.
  • Familiarity with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE).
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms and frameworks such as Firebase or Google Cloud.
  • Background in medical device software development and familiarity with regulatory environments, such as ISO13485, IEC62304, FDA, or CE.
